Renowned Marathi daily Thane Vaibhav has announced a special समारोह to mark its Golden Jubilee year, celebrating 50 years of publication by honoring distinguished personalities from the sports field. Among the أبرز names, Ayesha Wadkar has been selected for recognition for her notable contributions.

On the occasion of Maharashtra Day (May 1), the newspaper will felicitate 50 eminent sports coaches and teachers from Thane city in appreciation of their dedicated service.

According to Managing Editor Nikhil Ballal, Thane Vaibhav has consistently prioritized sports coverage over the past five decades. The Thane Vaibhav Cricket Tournament has also completed 50 successful years. To continue this legacy, the initiative aims to encourage grassroots-level coaches who play a crucial role in nurturing talent.

The organization has also announced the launch of a dedicated Sports Newsletter, intended to highlight local athletes and help them gain recognition at the national level.

The felicitation ceremony will be held on Friday, May 1, 2026, at 10:30 AM at the auditorium of MRR Children’s Hospital, Shastri Nagar, Thane (West). Prominent personalities from the fields of education and sports are expected to attend. Sports Coordinator Nasir Mulani has appealed to all concerned coaches and teachers for their cooperation.
