CNS and NWWA President Wish Team Tarini a Happy New Year

New Delhi, December 31, 2024 – On the eve of New Year 2025, Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi, Chief of the Naval Staff (CNS), and Mrs. Shashi Tripathi, President of the Navy Welfare and Wellness Association (NWWA), held a video conference with the brave crew of Navika Sagar Parikrama II. The crew, Lieutenant Commander Dilna and Lieutenant Commander Roopa, are currently on their journey around the world aboard the INSV Tarini.



During the call, Adm. Tripathi praised the two officers for their courage and determination as they continue their journey from Fremantle, Australia, to Lyttleton, New Zealand. He highlighted their resilience in overcoming the many challenges at sea, calling their adventure a shining example of the Indian Navy's spirit of adventure and excellence.

"Their journey shows the Navy’s commitment to excellence and serves as an inspiration to the youth of India and the world," said Adm. Tripathi. "Their courage reflects the strong values that define the Indian Navy."



Both the CNS and Mrs. Tripathi sent warm New Year wishes to Team Tarini, encouraging them to continue their extraordinary mission. "May your strength and determination inspire a new chapter in India’s maritime history," they said.

The Navika Sagar Parikrama II mission, which showcases the strength and skill of India’s female officers, has inspired many across the nation and beyond. As the crew moves into the new year, their journey stands as a powerful example of perseverance and courage for future generations.
