Crescent English High School & Jr. College Girls’ Volleyball Team Excels at District Tournament Team secures Runner-Up Trophy at TMC DSO District Volleyball Championship 2025–26 in Thane

Thane, 30 September 2025 – The girls’ volleyball team of MESCO Education Society’s Crescent English High School & Jr. College delivered an outstanding performance at the TMC DSO District Volleyball Tournament 2025–26, held at Sharad Chandra Pawar Stadium, Thane. Competing against top colleges from across the district, the Crescent team secured the Runner-Up position, showcasing skill, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
Organized under the leadership of Ms. Meenal Palande (Deputy Commissioner of Sports) and Mr. Shankar Barkade (Sports Coordinator), the tournament witnessed the presence of eminent dignitaries including National Referee Ashok Dikshit, Mr. Jadhav Satish, Mr. Sunil Pawar, and Ms. Ayesha Wadkar.
The Crescent girls registered notable victories in the quarter-final against NKT College and in the semi-final against Saraswati College before facing PES College in the final.
With dedicated players like Shaikh Rushda Imtiyaz (XII), Shaikh Ayesha Javed (XI), Khan Shehnaz Alauddin (XI), Baig Mirza Afraa Yusuf (XI), Kazi Ismaah Asif (X), Shaikh Soubiya Sameer (X), Aamina Kaisar Wadkar (IX), Shaikh Afifa Mohamed Ashraf (XI), Itrat Zehra Jawwad Hyder Syed (XII), Shaikh Benazir Manjur (XII), Shaikh Bushra (XI), and Bagdadi Naushin Irfan (XI), the team’s journey was marked by determination and discipline.
The school management, principal, and staff extended heartfelt congratulations to the team, while special appreciation was given to Coach Mr. Pawan Yadav for his relentless guidance.
