Crescent School Students Shine at District-Level Taekwondo Championship 20 Participants Bag 16 Medals, 7 Qualify for Mumbai Division Level

Thane, The young athletes of MESCO Education Society’s Crescent English High School & Jr. College delivered a stellar performance at the TMC DSO District Level Taekwondo Championship 2025-26, held at New Horizon Scholars School, Rodas, Thane on Saturday.
The full-day championship, running from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., was organized under the guidance of Meenal Palande (Deputy Commissioner of Sports, TMC) and Shankar Barkade (Sports Coordinator), in collaboration with the Thane District Taekwondo Association led by Deepak Malusare (Vice President) and Surendra Kamble (Treasurer). Host school Principal Mani Shrivastav and Sports HOD Tejas Gawli extended their full support.

Crescent School’s 20 participants clinched a total of 16 medals:
• 7 Gold
• 6 Silver
• 3 Bronze
Notably, the 7 gold medalists have qualified for the upcoming Mumbai Division Level Championship 2025-26, to be held in Mumbai.

The achievement drew wide appreciation from the school’s management. Executive Officer Mr. Mohsin Shaikh congratulated the winners, while Prof. Farhaan Makba (President, MESCO Trust & Treasurer, MES) extended his best wishes. Principal Mr. Wasi Khan and Headmistress Ms. Nazia Khan also praised the students’ hard work and determination.
Special thanks were expressed to PE Teacher Ms. Ayesha Wadkar, PE Sir Mr. Anwaruzzama Khan, and Coach Mr. Tanveer Shaikh, whose guidance played a key role in the school’s medal haul.
