Grand 79th Independence Day Celebration with Special Children at KJC Lonavala Training Centre

Lonavla,Lonavala KJC Training Centre celebrated the 79th Independence Day Camp with great enthusiasm and fanfare, alongside special children. Under the guidance of the centre’s esteemed coach, Mushtaq Sir (6th Degree Black Belt, four-time India Champion, National Referee, and Special Student Trainer), a series of engaging activities were organised, making the event truly memorable.

The flag hoisting ceremony was conducted by the Guests of Honour, Nazia Raees Ahmed and Bhargavi Dhuri (Down Syndrome).

Among the participating special children were:

• Anirudh Subramanian (Autistic)

• Bhargavi Dhuri (Down Syndrome)

• Shan Khan (Physical Disability & Slow Learner)

• Sanskar Dhir (Autistic)

In addition, students from Mumbai Municipal Corporation schools—who are also Judo State and National players—participated, including:

• Sandeep Yadav

• Faizan Ansari

• Anshu Patel

• Jenisha Baramu

• Pari Prajapati

• Pooja Phatarpekar (Judo Coach & Special Student Trainer – 3rd Degree Black Belt, National Player, State Gold Medalist, and Referee)

• Sakshi Vaishya (Brown Belt in Judo, State & National Player)

• Meher Ansari (Green Belt in Judo, 2nd Year Degree College Student)

• Alok Majumdar (from Lonavala)

All of them contributed their valuable support to the event.

The programme featured patriotic songs, special performances by the children, and a vibrant festive atmosphere. Organisers emphasised that such events are vital for boosting the confidence of special children and helping them secure a positive and respected place in society.
