RECPDCL Hands Over Rajasthan IV 4A Power Transmission Project to Power Grid Corporation of India

Gurugram, December 30, 2024: REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited (RECPDCL), a subsidiary of REC Limited, has officially handed over the Rajasthan IV 4A Power Transmission Project to Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL). The handover ceremony took place in Gurugram, with senior officials from both companies present.
PGCIL won the bid to develop the project through a competitive process organized by RECPDCL. The project will be developed under the Build, Own, Operate, and Transfer (BOOT) model.
The Rajasthan IV 4A project will help transport 3.5 GW of renewable energy from Rajasthan’s Renewable Energy Zone. It includes the construction of a large substation, along with new transmission lines in Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh. The project’s total cost is estimated at ₹5,378.03 crore, and it is expected to be completed in 24 months.
Shri T.S.C. Bosh, CEO of RECPDCL, handed over the project to Shri Satyaprakash Dash, Company Secretary of PGCIL, marking an important step in strengthening India’s power grid and supporting renewable energy development.
