FCI Announces Wheat and Rice Sale under Open Market Scheme – 18th December 2024 Auction

The Food Corporation of India (FCI), Maharashtra, has announced the sale of 500 MT of rice and 5000 MT of wheat under the Open Market Sale Scheme (Domestic) [OMSS (D)] for the upcoming auction on 18th December 2024.

Buyers interested in purchasing these stocks can register with FCI’s e-auction service provider, m-Junction Services Limited. The empanelment process will be completed within 72 hours.

For the auction, 500 MT of rice will be offered from Goa, and 5000 MT of wheat will be made available from various regions, including Maharashtra and Goa.

Eligible participants include wheat flour mills, manufacturers, processors, end-users, traders, and bulk buyers. For rice, the minimum bidding quantity is 1 MT, with a maximum of 2000 MT per bidder. For wheat, the minimum is 10 MT, with a maximum of 25 MT for processing units with LT connection and 100 MT for units with HT connection.

The OMSS (D) scheme aims to control rising prices and provide relief to the common man.
