Khushi Mali Joins Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah as New Sonu Bhide After Palak Sindhwani’s Exit

The popular TV show Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah (TMKOC) is welcoming a new face! After Palak Sindhwani’s sudden exit, Khushi Mali is stepping in to play the role of Sonu Bhide. Palak, who played Sonu for five years, left the show following claims of mental harassment and unpaid dues, causing quite a stir.

The official TMKOC page announced, “Join us in welcoming Khushi Mali as Sonu Bhide to the TMKOC family! Watch her light up Gokuldham with her energy and charm from Monday, 7th October 2024, at 8:30 PM on Sony SAB.”

Khushi Mali, known for her role in Sajha Sindoor, is taking on the important character of Sonu, daughter of Atmaram and Madhavi Bhide. Sonu is a key member of the Tappu Sena, known for being the voice of reason in the group.

In an interview, TMKOC’s producer Asit Kumarr Modi shared, “Sonu is an important character who brings leadership and warmth. We chose Khushi Mali because we believe she embodies these qualities. We are excited for her journey, and we hope the audience shows her the same love they’ve given the show for the past 16 years.”
