Major Fire at Santosh Nagar, Goregaon (E) – No Injuries Reported

Mumbai,Goregaon (E), 20 February 2025: A Level-II fire broke out at Sant Nirankari Marg, Santosh Nagar, Dindoshi, Goregaon (E), on 20th February 2025, with the incident being reported to BMC's Mumbai Fire Brigade (MFB) at 7:29 PM. The fire spread rapidly, affecting around 150 to 200 hutments in the area.

According to the latest update received at 10:27 PM, the fire was successfully covered from all sides by 10:22 PM, preventing further spread.

Emergency services responded promptly with multiple fire engines and specialized vehicles on-site, including FE-07, CFF-01, AWTT-02, JT-04, WQRV-01, along with senior officers DFO-01, ADFO-02, Sr. SO-04, and SO-01 overseeing operations.

Thankfully, no injuries have been reported so far.

Shri Jadhav, Assistant Commissioner of P/South Ward, confirmed at 10:34 PM that arrangements for food and shelter have been made for approximately 200-250 affected residents at Gokuldham Municipal School.

Authorities continue to monitor the situation closely, ensuring the safety and well-being of those affected.
