Deoghar, Jharkhand: Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s return flight to Delhi was delayed on Friday after a technical problem with his aircraft at Deoghar Airport in Jharkhand. PM Modi had just finished attending rallies in the state for the ongoing assembly elections. He was on his way back to the national capital after participating in the Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas celebrations, which honor tribal hero Birsa Munda.
Officials said the aircraft was grounded to fix the technical glitch, and the cause of the problem has not been shared. The delay lasted over two hours, and during this time, the airspace around the airport was declared a “no-fly zone.”
Deoghar Deputy Commissioner Vishal Sagar confirmed that PM Modi had to wait while technical teams worked on the issue. Despite the delay, PM Modi’s campaign in Jharkhand remains significant as the final phase of voting is scheduled for November 20.
